ABOUT ABOUT

How can neighborhood icons be reimagined?

Join the Community Design Collaborative, community members, public agencies, and other professionals to see the results from a full-day design charrette to consider reuse options for closed public school buildings.

During the daylong design charrette, multidisciplinary teams of volunteer design professionals will collaborate with community members and other stakeholders on innovative designs for reuse of closed schools.

4 - 6pm: Teams will present their conceptual designs to a panel of experts for feedback

6 - 7:30pm: Reception with food and beverage

The School Reuse Charrette is part of Design on the Delaware, AIA Philadelphia's annual regional conference.

The charrette is funded in part with support from an Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development, and the Mayor's Fund for Philadelphia.
